Here’s some more crawling footage from this year’s Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah. This group makes it through a trail called Helldorado. Looks like a good time with some well built vehicles and an experienced trail leader.
This is some footage of from the 2010 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. They call the terrain there “slickrock”, but it actually has a sandpaper texture to it which gives plenty of traction. People go there because they can pull off some crazy crawls like this one.
The Freedom Riding Company put together this pretty awesome grassroots video of the Jeep Rubicon and Toyota FJ Cruiser clubs doing a little wheelin’. They’re in mountains of Peacock Flats on Oahu overlooking the North Pacific.
Jeep decided to reinvent some of their classic models as concepts for the Jeep Safari in Moab this year. One of the concepts is called The Mighty FC which is a re-imagining of my favorite classic Jeep, the FC-170. The FC stands for “Forward Controls” which is another way to say the cab is pushed all the way to the front of the truck. They did this to provide a longer bed for the wheelbase. Motor Trend’s YouTube channel got to drive The Mighty FC Concept alongside an original ex-military FC-170. Sometimes Jeep will produce their concepts if they receive enough positive feedback. Unfortunately, The Mighty FC will probably not hit production due to the crash safety concerns of having the passengers that far forward on the chassis.
