Racing Champions – Petrolicious

Meet Professional Downhill Skateboarder Kevin Reimer from Vancouver, Canada. He owns a 1991 R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R which he uses to drive the same roads as he skateboards on. Kevin decided to buy the car after finding out that they shared a history in that they both won races at the Bathurst track in Australia in 1991. Now Kevin has set up his car to drive like his skateboard and he says it brings a smile to his face.

The BMW M2

The Bavarian Workshop in Southern California built this restomod BMW 2002 for one of their customers. The idea was to infuse the light 2002 chassis with the spirit of an E30 M3. The suspension was reinforced and upgraded with coilovers while an S14 engine from the M3 was put under the hood with a chip upgrade. The hubs were modified to take M3 wheels and Wilwood brakes and the interior was also refreshed with some Recaro seats from a more modern BMW recovered to match the 2002’s interior. They are calling the end result the M2.

DTM Orchestra

It seems the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) inspires some very talented videographers. This video combines highlights of the 2012 season with the 4th movement of Dvorak’s 9th symphony. It was played at the announcement of the unification of American LeMans and Grand Am racing to become the US version of DTM. The move makes American DTM, European DTM and Japanese JGTC all compete on a the same global racing platform.
