Yokohama Tires has been closely following the re-engineering of the Top Fuel S2000 for the 2012 World Time Attack Challenge in August. The car held the RWD lap record at Tsukuba for three years in it’s previous form. In preparation for the WTAC, the power has been increased to 712 hp thanks to a turbocharged F20C stroked to 2.2 liters (not a F22C according to Yokohama) and the car has been equipped with an awesome widebody kit developed by Japanese aero tuners, Voltex. This video gives some good shots of the car’s details as well as some run footage on Suzuka.
Sometimes it’s the simple things that are the most beautiful. Case in point: this video shows the evolution of F1 cars, engines and steering wheels from 1950-2012 in kind of a Tron silhouette style.

Drayson Racing Technologies built this EV demonstration car on a standard Lola racing chassis with an 850 hp electric drive train and wireless charging. This was the car’s first public appearance and it set the EV record for the hill climb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Here’s another creeper video from the Ferrari test track, Fiorano Circuit, near Maranello. This time it’s of some of Ferrari’s old F1 cars getting some exercise. The uploader thinks that it’s Ferrari customer cars. The first and third cars sound like V12’s and the second one sounds like a Lexus LF-A, so it’s probably a V10.
