CTS-V Powered ’68 Camaro

This is what being a car guy is all about. Meet Bob Hall. He’s the owner of this Pro Touring 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. It’s the car he’s wanted since he was 18 years old. After he picked up the project, he decided he wanted it be more potent than a stock restoration and the vision for how the car currently sits was born. Check out the video for a road test and the story behind the build.

How to Build a Chevelle in One Day by Car Craft

The guys who work at Car Craft Magazine had the crazy idea to build a car in one day. They wanted to show that it doesn’t have to take several years and a huge budget to create a respectable street machine that you can be proud of and have fun in. The best part about this video is that they have to deal with a couple of strange issues on their Craigslist car and make some bonehead mistakes just like you and I would. In the end, they accomplish their mission and end up with a pretty awesome ’72 Chevelle. It’s also kind of funny that they park it in front of the Motor Trend long term Chevy Volt for the YouTube preview image.

Motor Trend Head 2 Head: Corvette Grand Sport vs. Porsche 911 Carrera S

YouTube’s push for exclusive content (kind of like having their own TV shows) has resulted in some very high quality car reviews. This is Motor Trend’s segment called Head 2 Head where they do direct comparisons of two cars. In their first episode of H2H they do one of their favorite comparisons, the Corvette vs. the 911. Motor Trend has been pitting these two against each other for years in the pages of their magazine. Editor Angus Mackenzie takes the first part of the video to explain why they like comparing these two cars despite of the fact that they are in completely different price categories. One thing I’ve noticed with the new Motor Trend content is that they are really trying to go into extreme detail talking about what it’s like to drive the cars they review. It makes for far more interesting videos about cars that I can only dream about driving.
