The Deadly 720 – Top Gear

The folks at Top Gear put together this back to back loop-the-loop, the Deadly 720, as part of their live show. There’s some interviews followed by footage of the stunt rider pulling it off. There’s plenty of camera angles including from the rider’s point of view.

They actually got the world record for doing The Deadly 720 on 4 wheels during their first live show:

How to Winterize Your Motorcycle – Saturday Mechanic

Ben Wojdyla of Popular Mechanics is back with another interesting episode of their Saturday Mechanic how-to videos where they talk about preparing a motorcycle for winter storage. A lot of the topics covered also apply to storing cars for a long period of time, especially ones with carburetors. Ben and his motorcycle mechanic Todd cover the entire preparation process while discussing why the steps are important.

Portland to Dakar – Icon Motosports

Icon is a motorcycle riding gear manufacturer that’s not afraid to get creative with their marketing. They’re the one’s responsible for the original Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle video and its sequel. To promote their latest line of Raiden all-weather gear, Icon put a couple of pro adventure racers on souped up Triumph Tiger 800’s and sent them through gnarly terrain all over the world. There’s also a couple of special appearances by Alonzo Bodden and Kylie Lewallen. I think an epic adventure ride like this would be fun to add to the old Bucket List.
