RAUH-Welt Begriff Brotherhood

The latest video from Japanese Porsche tuner RAUH-Welt Begriff documents an unprecedented gathering of their international customers. Nakai-san invited RWB friends from Thailand and the US to help with a 4 car effort at a 12 hour endurance race held at the Twin Rings Motegi circuit in Japan. He made sure to mix everybody up when assigning the driver teams and pit crews to each car so that everybody could make new friends. The final scene describes it all: RAUH-Welt Begriff Brotherhood.

Back to Life – Depth of Speed

This is the story of the Zombie Rabbit. It’s what we all envision when we take on project cars: rescue an old clunker from the crusher for $400, take it home and rebuild it with the help of your friends and the community of people who also loves that kind of car. The owner, Joel, cut his teeth working on this car learning how to weld and even upholstering the seats himself with old leather jackets. That’s something we can all appreciate. Long live the Zombie Rabbits of this world.

The Quail 2012 – evo Diaries

The Quail show at Pebble Beach is probably one of the most exclusive car shows in the world. Tickets are $500 and the show takes place during Pebble Weekend before the RM Auctions. Harry Metcalfe of evo Magazine brought a camera along with him for this year’s show so we could see what it was all about. Highlights include what will probably be the only public appearance of the McLaren X-1, the factory built one-off custom based on the MP4-12C. Dodge brought out the new Viper and Lamborghini showed up with their new SUV concept and the Sesto Elemento (Italian for “6th Element” which is Carbon). A train of Shelby Cobras got a police escort from Laguna Seca where they were participating in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. That’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of describing all the cars that were there.
